Kellys Run Nature Preserve near Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is today part of a recently made ecological conservancy with beautiful views (see second photo) of the Susquehanna River amidst a great variety of forest life. The tree canopy and rugged terrain predominate the vista so much that you might never know earlier, human-driven economies had once existed here. (The first photo was once a railroad bridge, and indeed, there is still an operating railroad nearby.) Mennonite families settled in this area in the 1700s: the Brubaker lineage is one such example, as you can see by the plaque almost completely overgrown commemorating one John Brubaker, located off a side trail in the area. In fact, there is an annual Brubaker family reunion held every summer that draws relations as far away as Florida and California. (See their website: https://brubakerfamilies.org/).
